Her first foray into music didn’t exactly pan out so well, but hey, what’s a music flop among friends.
And when you’re as “musically talented” as Paris Hilton professes to be, there’s nothing really holding you back.
News has emerged that the 32-year-old socialite has now signed to Cash Money Records and will release music alongside labelmates Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne, reports MTV News
Hilton’s self-titled debut was released in 2006 and she said to Showbiz 411 she hopes to have a follow up soon with Cash Money, adding that it would feature multiple hip-hop acts.
“This is a lot different than my first album,” she described. “It’s really going to be house music.”
Hilton’s self-described “electro-pop music” will reportedly be released sometime in the summer of 2013 and she shared some insight into her own unique genius.
“I think a lot of people don’t know that music is my passion since I was a little girl,” she told MTV News last year. “I’m very musically talented. This is more my thing [musically on this album], more of a club scene, more dance.”
We guess there’s no love lost between Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.
The hotel heiress revealed she will not be visiting her long-standing frenemyduring her 90 day court-ordered rehab stint, which kicks off on May 2.
While the 32-year-old refused to expand further about Lindsay as we caught up with her as she leftAnastasia Beverly Hills on Wednesday, she did reveal that like every other year before, she will be attending this weekend’s Coachella festival.
“I love Coachella,” she said.
And, naturally, she was happy to strut down the sidewalk like it was her own personal runway.
Pouting for the camera, Paris Hilton does her best to look picture-perfect in a vacation snap — pity her bleeding boy toy boyfriend behind her nearly ruins her moment to shine, right?
Earlier this month, during a vacation in Lake Tahoe, her beau River Viper took a tumble and suffered a nasty gash, resulting in him needing medical attention.
In fact, the 21-year-old model had to be strapped to an ambulance stretcher and hauled away by paramedics to get stitches.
“Such a scary day on the slopes today,” Paris, 32, wrote on her Pheed blog.
“After seeing the gash on @RiverViiperi’s leg, I almost passed out. I have never seen a cut that deep in my life. He is so brave, I can’t even imagine the pain he went through today.”
And the “scary” day provided the perfect moment for Paris to ham it up for the camera.
Kim Kardashian will not be able to shake Kris Humphriesout of her life for 3 more months … because a judge just set their divorce trial for May 6. [TMZ]
Most stars find the paparazzi a nuance, but for Paris Hilton, the notion that photographers still want to capture a photo of her is good news that she is still (semi) relevant.
Gone are the days when she was the most famous socialite in the world, a role that was later inherited by her former BFF Kim Kardashian.
Now, Hilton spends her days with model River Viiperi, who at 21, is ten years her junior.
We exclusively caught the pair doing a spot of grocery shopping at Whole Foods in L.A.
See how she plays coy at the sight of photographers, but inside, she is probably squealing with delight.
Day two of the Miami Lounge at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival brought out a host of stars including Courtney Love, Adrian Grenier, Daniel Radcliffe, Dermot Mulroney and, naturally, Paris Hilton.
Stars flocked to the suites on Main Street to view (and take home!) some of the luxe items from Carlo Pazolini, Rudsak, and Johnny Was, and indulge in Sabra Hummus, Lifeway foods and beverages from Disaronno and HINT water. Chris Masterson aka DJ Chris Kennedy, spun tunes while the crowd mingled among celebrities and VIP alike.
Here is some interesting tidbits from the day;
Adrian Grenier arrived after a day of snowboarding to wrap up his Saturday afternoon. Paris Hilton and beau Rivers Viiperi browsed the Rudsak Coat room, other Rudsak fans included Courtney Love who raced in and out of the suite but made sure to grab a HINT water before she left.
Shailene Woodley browsed the Carlo Pazolini room with her mom before deciding on a pair of brown boots, while the Buried Life’s Duncan Penn and Dave Lingwood sipped on Disaronno cocktails. Actress Amy Ryan stopped by the suites later in the day to pick up some flowing tops and scarves from LA-based clothing brand Johnny Was before bumping into her “Breathe In” Co-Star Guy Pierce who was enjoying the ambience of the Miami Lounge as well. Academy-Award winner Julianne Moore stopped by Udi’s Café while Ron Livingston ate nearby.
Daniel Radcliffe stopped by the suites as well, peeking through the rooms and ending up at the Sirius Satellite Radio booth. He chatted with the hosts and took photos for fans waiting outside.
Other Miami Lounge celebrity visitors includedBrian Wilson of the SF Giants, Dermot Mulroney, Erin Moriarty, Judi Shekoni, Kasey Marr, Michael Rosenbaum, Patrick Adams.
If there is a party, you can guarantee that Paris Hilton will be there.
And on Friday night, she was strutting her stuff at the Marquee + Stella Artois present TAO Nightclub bash.
The 31-year-old heiress was seen snuggling up to toyboy lover Rivers Viiperi, never leaving the 21-year-old model’s side at the event, which was held at The Village at the Lift
She was also seen partying with brother Barron Hilton and his gal pal, while other stars such as Danny Masterson, Chris Masterson, Jesse Williams, Mekhi Phiffer, Lil Jon, The Bachelorette’s Jef Holm, and Ben Foster mingled.
If you are wondering what Paris was doing in Park City, you’re not alone!
Sundance Film Festival founder Robert Redford admits that it’s all become too much of a circus – and it could leave Utah altogether.
Paris “didn’t have anything to do with the films,” he complained during a panel discussion in Park City on Thursday. “I said, ‘What movie is she in?’” He said that she and others have made the festival “not as much fun.
“There are too many people who come to the festival to leverage their own self-interest,” he added.
Paris Hilton, or Ms.Famous-For-Doing-Nothing, recently went on a spending spree at the chic boutique Madison on Melrose in L.A., putting down major moola for some Courtney Lee Collection jewelry. What’s surprising is that celebs usually expect to be “gifted” most jewelry, rarely spending their own loot.
And it’s not cheap either! The technicolor “Melanie” necklace she’s sporting in the long shot cost a cool $590.
Mixing fun with luxury, the collection rocks traditional styles with biker chic, and rock n’ roll punk.
Until someone decides to gift us, we’ll just admire from afar.
