Today’s Photos: Nick Cannon’s birthday weekend

Nicki Minaj who? Mariah Carey put her “American Idol” drama to one side to ensure that her hubby, Nick Cannon’s birthday was one to remember.

On Sunday night, the songstress threw a private party for her man (he turns 32 today) and shared the photo above with her Twitter followers.

“On to the party! Happy birthday,” she tweeted.

The night before, Cannon sans Carey (we can categorically say that she was not with him despite reports that she was) hit the Playhouse Nightclub to celebrate with some of his closet friends including Wilmer Valderrama. The pals presented him with a bright yellow birthday cake.

It’s been a really bad week for Paris Hilton

For quite some time, Paris Hilton has seen her former best friend Kim Kardashian garner headline after headline.

But this week the hotel heiress has found herself in the spotlight again– for all the wrong reasons.

First her DJing gig at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil last Saturday was universally panned as it became quite evident that she was not the one mixing the tracks.

Then there was this little incident, which is sure to have long running ramifications.

Now word reaches us that she got the ultimate snub from her ex Afrojack when she turned up to see him DJ at Playhouse nightclub earlier this week.

According to out impeccable spies, the DJ wasn’t all smiles about her presence there, dictating strict rules to club employees that she was not to be allowed near the performance stage.

Does it get more humiliating than that? We doubt it….

Photos: Inside Chris Brown’s birthday bash

He’s used to courting controversy, but when it came to Chris Brown celebrating his 23rd birthday, the singer put the drama to one side.
He partied the night away at Playhouse Nightclub  in Los Angeles with close friend Wiz Khalifa.
Multi-Grammy winner Jermaine Dupri, who was DJ’ing the evening, and toasted Chris’ special day with several bottles of Ace of Spades at their table. By the looks of it, they enjoyed more than a few bottles.
