New report: Roberto Martinez is the next Bachelor

“The Bachelorette” season isn’t even a few weeks in, but already the show’s producers are plotting the next Bachelor.

And it’s a familiar face that will be looking for love this time around: Roberto Martinez, who was previously engaged to Ali Fedotowsky, is set to be the next Bachelor.

Life & Style magazine reports…

His engagement to Ali Fedotowsky didn’t work out, but Life & Style can exclusively reveal that Roberto Martinez is giving reality-show romance another go — as the star of The Bachelor!

“He’s already signed the contract,” a production insider confirms to Life & Style in the new issue, on newsstands tomorrow.

The 29-year-old insurance agent proposed on the season-six finale of The Bachelorette, but in November, Ali, 27, called off the engagement after 18 months.

“They chose him because he’s very likable,” the insider tells Life & Style. While Ali claimed the split was “100 percent mutual,” the insider notes, “in the back of Roberto’s mind, I’m sure there’s some enjoyment in getting revenge on Ali.”

What do you think of this casting choice?

Would you go on The Bachelorette and risk losing millions? Well, Ali did…

We love ABC’s The Bachelor, even though, the fairytale portrayed on the small screen very rarely translates to real life.

And today we ask a burning question: Would you trade money for a short-lived romance? Well, that’s exactly what happened with Ali Fedotowsky… did we all forget that she used to work at Facebook?

Just two years ago, Ali Fedotowsky gave up her career at Facebook for a shot at love on The Bachelorette. Unfortunately, along with not getting the guy (she and Roberto Martinez called off their engagement in November), she also lost out on millions in stock her former Facebook co-workers gained when the social-media company went public.

But Ali, 26, says she’s not upset with her decision. “Would I change anything if I could go back and keep my job at Facebook instead of doing The Bachelorette? Absolutely not,” the former ad manager tells Life & Style. “I don’t regret one decision.”

She even says she’s excited for everyone at the company. “This must be such an exciting time for everyone at Facebook!” she tells Life & Style. “I am super happy for all my former co-workers.”

Her engagement ended just three months ago, but Ali has already found something new to concentrate on: her relationship with new man Charlie Ritchie. The pair revved up a relationship earlier this year.

Love or money….which one would you choose?
