While we thought the gold-flecked wedding gown was a tacky interesting choice — a strapless gold and white Georges Chakra Couture gown — we did fall in love with her earrings. Those are vintage tri-colored jewels by Oscar De La Renta waaaaay out of our budget but absolutely affordable for a special night from Rent the Runway for $50!
They are an impossibly gorgeous couple, but beauty isn’t just skin deep for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively — they also have big hearts.
The pair paid a surprise visit to a local hospital in Canada this past weekend.
The couple, who married in September, brought smiles to the faces of the young patients at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario and posed up for a series of snaps.
“I can tell you the visit was really appreciated by the kids, their parents and the staff on the unit,” hospital spokesperson Dan Lessard tells Sudbury Northern Life. “Mr. Reynolds and Ms. Lively were wonderful with the children.”
Sudbury resident Sarah Lavallee, who is watching over her 3-month-old son at the hospital, was grateful for the stars’ visit.
“Ryan and Blake were both very kind to us. They introduced themselves right away and asked how my son was doing,” Lavallee tells the paper. “I really appreciated both Ryan and Blake giving me something to smile about at such a difficult time.”
“It was a very unexpected visit, and I thought it was especially nice of them to take pictures of me with each of them before they left, ” she added.
Reynolds, 36, is currently filming the drama Queen of The Night in Canada.
Actress Amber Tamblyn broke with tradition when she married David Cross on Saturday, even ditching those pesky heels.
Instead, the star chose to marry in no shoes in a beautiful wooded ceremony (she arrived to the nuptials in a canoe!), in front of a star-studded guest list which included newlyweds Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Amy Poehler, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, Kristen Schaal and Jason Ritter.
Questlove – who deejayed the reception – shared photos from the couple’s nuptials, hashtagged with #weddinginthewoods, with his Instagram followers on Tuesday.

Blake Lively made for a stunning bride when she wed Ryan Reynolds last weekend, according to her wedding-dress designers, Marchesa.
Speaking exclusively with Life & Style at their presentation during New York Fashion Week, the designers, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman, dished all about the gorgeous gown they created for Blake’s big day.
“We saw [the dress] in fittings,” Craig tells Life & Style exclusively. “Blake’s just such a beautiful bride! The gown was very beautiful; you’ll get to see it.”
So how did Marchesa make it all happen in a time crunch?
“[Blake] really knows what she wants, and Georgina did a few sketches; it was very much like a bridal fitting,” Craig says. “First the sketches and then the dress was gorgeous, so we’re just thrilled.”
Blake and Ryan Reynolds married at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., on Sept. 9, after dating for almost one year.
She’s stunningly beautiful, and now Blake Lively has an equally gorgeous husband.
And what with a stellar Hollywood career, she really does seem to have it all. But, she is also quick to acknowledge that she is blessed.
In the October issue of Allure, the actress gushes about her good fortune, saying: ”Right now, I’m so peaceful. I’ve never been happier in my life. It’s the choice that you have to wake up every day and say, ’There’s no reason today can’t be the best day of my life.’ ”
The 25-year-old also says that children are very much on her mind,
“I’ve always wanted a big family. Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could,” she says, in the interview that was conducted prior to her secret nuptials.
Lively also reveals that far from being a spotlight-grabbing star, she is intensely shy.
“I’m a very shy person,” she reveals. “I can be outgoing, but I’m also very private.”
Their secret nuptials last night came as surprise to many and not even in a year into their relationship, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are now husband and wife.
A source tells PEOPLE that the pair, who costarred together in 2011′s Green Lantern, married at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., just outside of Charleston.
The website reports that the reception took place in a white tent at the plantation and Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine) performed three songs live.
While this is 25-year-old Lively’s first marriage, it is Reynold’s second. After splitting with long-term love Alanis Morissette in February 2007, he began dating Scarlett Johansson. The couple announced their engagement in May 2008, and married on September 27, 2008.
So, it appears that when it comes to love and marriage, Reynolds doesn’t like to waste time and give or take a few months, his marriages tend to fall around the one-year mark.
Another similarity? He and Johansson tied the knot in a quiet ceremony. There’s took place near Tofino, British Columbia.
Let’s hope that his and Lively’s union fares better, with Johansson and Reynolds only making it to the two-year mark before calling it quits on their marriage.

The 1969 home – it’s known as “The Wong House” — is located on a private and gated bluff in the Los Feliz Hills with expansive views of the city, from West Hollywood to the Pacific.
It’s a single floor residence – 2,835-square-feet — with four bedrooms and three baths. The master suite has its own private, walled garden and outdoor bath. The den, kitchen and living room look out over the deck and pool through a floor-to-ceiling glass wall.

Scarlett Johansson has been running all over New York City this week with her new boyfriend, Nate Naylor, but now two eyewitnesses share details with Life & Style inside their undeniable chemistry and romantic breakfast at Madison diner on Jan. 28 in NYC.
“They were very comfortable and happy together while eating,” a fellow diner tells Life & Style.
”He also shared some food with her, which was very nice. They were definitely acting like boyfriend and girlfriend. It was all very natural, “another eyewitness tells Life & Style. ”Scarlett and Nate couldn’t stop smiling.”
And the pair wasn’t in any hurry to leave, either. ”They weren’t in a rush and seemed relaxed,” the first eyewitness adds. ”They sat in the back corner.”
So who is Nate? He’s a 38-year-old advertising executive in Manhattan, who also collects art.
The 27-year-old actress split with ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, 35, in December 2012 after two years of marriage. She has since also dated Sean Penn.
The endless reporting on their ice cream dates has left not a sweet, but sour taste in our mouths.
People.com are reporting that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were spotted in New Orleans on Friday at, you guessed it, Creole Creamery, a cute, Uptown ice cream parlor.

On Friday, an eyewitness saw the two at the “Ryan comes in here sometimes when he’s in town,” said the observer.
According to another sighting on Twitter, Friday included the couple’s visit to the CaféduMonde, a French market stand famous for its coffee with chicory and its donut-like beignets.
