Julianne Hough isn’t sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring since splitting from Ryan Seacrest less than a month ago.

The star is single and ready to mingle.

Julianne was spotted flirting up a storm at the Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif. over the weekend.

And the subject of her affections? None other than Magic Mike’s Alex Pettyfer.

Hmmm... whatever could she see in Alex?

Hmmm… whatever could she see in Alex?

“Julianne and Alex were flirting a lot,” a partygoer tells Life & Style of the dancer’s flirty behavior with the actor at the Armani Exchange Neon Carnival. “She was drinking vodka cocktails all night and by midnight she was standing on the back of a couch with her friends, dancing like crazy and rubbing up against him,” the source dishes.

A day earlier, on Apr. 12 at the ShopBazaar Brunch and Pool Party, an eyewitness tells Life & Style, on newsstands now: “Julianne was gabbing away with friends saying she’s so excited to start dating again.” And when ex Ryan came up, Julianne was quick to assure guests that things between them were definitely over, overheard saying, “That deal is done.”

Julianne and Ryan dated for three years before calling it quits in March 2013.

Selena Gomez played her new single, ‘ Come and Get It’ for Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS FM radio this morning and shared that she doesn’t get asked out much! When Ryan queried her on how many boys have asked her out in the last two months, she replied, “None. No, you should believe it! I would tell you, Ryan. I am available.”

When the playful host asked who the new song was about, Selena  responded, “You, Ryan!”

Derek Hough on sis Julianne post-split with Ryan Seacrest: ‘She’s doing good’

They seemed to be perfectly matched, but Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough sent ripples through the showbiz world when it was announced they split last Friday.

However, Julianne seems to be taking the breakup in her stride — the blond beauty has been seen out and about hanging out with girlfriends, and was spotted spending some time with her brother Derek and pal Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

And according to Derek, she is doing just fine

“She’s doing good,” he told Life & Style after his first performance with Kellie Pickler on the season 16 premiere of Dancing With the Stars on Monday night.

According to reports, Julianne, 24, and Ryan, 38, called it quits on their relationship because of their tough schedules.

“We work hard, and it’s why we’re attracted to each other,” Julianne said recently about her relationship with Ryan. “We both are attracted to drive, ambition and success — depending on what you think success is.”

And Seacrest echoed the same sentiments. “We’re really happy and we’re really proud of each other.”

But it seems that the couple, who began dating in Spring 2010, just couldn’t make it work in the end.

Round One: Clive VS Kelly

artworks-000041352586-jlyw0e-large-1

It’s a matter of “He Said”  / “She Said” between record man Clive Davis and musician Kelly Clarkson, who Clive profiles in his new autobiography, The Soundtrack of My Life.  The famed music mogul called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to dispute her version of events:

On Kelly Clarkson Dispute:

“We’ve had differences in the past. From the very beginning I believed in Kelly and I still believe in her as an artist. What our memory differs over is what and how much she disliked “Since U Been Gone” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes.” and how much I liked “Because Of You” when I first heard it.”

Clive continues: “Before this chapter went to press I had 5 independent, music major players read it, who were there during that period…and they totally verified it. The important thing is, as an artist, I do want to make it clear Kelly Clarkson is still growing. I’ve seen the growth in her and dispute our different memory recall issues. The bigger issue as an artist is she is growing and she will have a major career.”

Was Clive Ever Fearful For Whitney Houston’s Life?

Clive actually wrote a letter to Houston and included it in his book. “I had not seen her in over a year. When I saw her at the Michael Jackson Madison Square Garden concert in 2001, I really feared for her. That’s why I included the letter in my book,” Clive says. “I learned that the power of drugs defies logic and is stronger than any faith that could be mustered between two people. The victim, the subject, have got to get to that level where they know that they need help for themselves.”

Kourtney Kardashian called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning to share her feelings and boy, she didn’t hold back! The 33-year-old admitted that she thinks sister Kim is “clueless” when it comes to pregnancy.

Asked if Kim understands how much her life will change with baby Kimye, Kourtney revealed, “She has no idea!” Adding, ”I’m like, ‘You just saw me go through it, don’t you somewhat know?!’ but now it’s her experience.”

So just exactly where is Kim at in her pregnancy questions? Everything from asking Kourtney “little things like, ‘Can I have orange juice?’”

Simon Cowell confirms he’s ‘dating’ Carmen Electra

After being spotted on numerous romantic dates, Simon Cowell is finally coming clean about his relationship with Carmen Electra.

But while he has admitted that they are an item, the notorious bachelor is showing no signs of settling down with the sultry TV presenter/ singer.

When Cowell called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest  Wednesday to talk about “The X Factor” finale, Ryan asked if Carmen is Simon’s new girlfriend.

“Girlfriend?” Simon said, laughing. “We’re people who date,” he said. “She’s adorable, isn’t she?”

Carmen too has gushed about how she feels about the 50-year-old mogul, who she got close to after she filled in as a guest judge on “Britain’s Got Talent”.

“He’s so cute,” she has said. ”He  is adorable. He’s actually a sweetheart… I really liked him. I think he’s  really cool.”

The pair was first spotted together on a dinner date at L.A restaurant Cecconi’s in September.

“They were getting very cosy. They were holding hands and staring into  each other’s eyes – and then they started making out,” an onlooker recalled.

As for the all important question as to who will win tonight’s “The X Factor”, Simon admitted on Wednesday that he has no idea which way the public voting will go.

“I genuinely couldn’t guess at this point,” he said.

Election 2012: Obama says ‘American people are decent, hard-working, and they’ve got great instincts’

We’re accustomed to Ryan Seacrest interviewing some pretty heavy–hitters on his radio show on KISS-FM, but today he snagged the man-of-the-hour when President Obama took time out on Election Day to call in.

What Is Your Message Today To Citizens?
“The first thing is vote. Regardless of who you’re voting for our democracy works when the American people get involved. The American people are decent, hard-working, and they’ve got great instincts. The more people participate the better the outcome!”

Is There A Preferred Presidential Snack?
Recently, Mrs. Obama revealed her favorite sweet snack while on the road is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Does the President have a go-to cheat food that keeps him going while working around the clock?

“My weakness is nachos. If I get nachos and guacamole I can go to town on that stuff. I asked my team to restrict my intake. If they put it in front of me it’s gone,” the Commander-in-chief confides.

Will Sasha and Malia Be Allowed To Date In The Next Term?
“I think that any young man who has the guts to get through Secret Service deserves a hearing,” President Obama jokes. “But Michelle is very good about making sure that we’re creating a space for them where they can have sleepovers. They can go to the mall. They can go to the movies. They’re going to homecomings at their school.”

If You Win The Election Have You Picked Out The Song You Will Dance To?
“Now that’s a tough choice, and I think I’ll have to consult with my wife. Last time out Beyonce  sang ‘At Last’, Etta James‘ classic, and that was a pretty good choice. Whatever it is its got to be a slow song so that I can put my moves on Michelle. Something a little romantic, you know? I haven’t seen her a lot lately. I’ve been on the road too much.”

An offer for an interview was also extended to Mitt Romney.

Today in Photos: Celebrity Halloween special

It was fright of a Tinseltown night as the stars came out in force to celebrate Halloween. Here are the good, the bad and the downright ugly…

Always one to don figure-hugging outfits, Halloween proved to be no different for Kim Kardashian, who poured her curves into a green fishtail skirt and a shell bra as she hit a party in New York dressed as a mermaid.

The reality star topped off her look with a blonde wig for the Midori party on Saturday. Her beau Kanye West’s outfit wasn’t so elaborate….yep we get what he is, but it wasn’t that drastic from his normal attire.

Meanwhile, Jessica Alba and her family are real-life superheroes.

Alba, her husband, Cash Warren and daughter Honor Marie dressed as characters from the flick The Incredibles.

The trio (youngest daughter Haven stayed at home) attended Gwen Stefani’s Halloween party in Santa Monica on Saturday.

Hilary Duff was a fright for sore eyes.

The new mom wore a Day of the Dead fantasy-inspired costume when she attended a Halloween bash with husband Mike Comrie on Friday night in Beverly Hills.

The 25-year-old posted the photo above on Twitter with the accompanying caption: “Yaaaaa! Day of the dead crazy! Thanks @startupchime.”

Podgy and using a walking cane, Rob Lowe channeled his “Parks and Recreation” character Chris Traeger’s ‘worst fear’ and shared this photo online.

Elsewhere, Fergie opted not to wear a catsuit, instead choosing to dress as Angelyne, who was a model and actress so obscure, we had to ask “WTH?”

Her hubby Josh Duhamel went as Dennis Woodruff, a filmmaker who makes homemade movies starring himself.

The couple attended a Los  Angeles which was  hosted Derek and Julianne Hough, Ryan Seacrest, and Rosie  Huntington-Whiteley.

Speaking of the hosts, Ryan Seacrest and his girlfriend Julianne Hough stepped out as Bonnie and Clyde and this was a choice Seacrest, seemed to be happy with.

“Found my Halloween costume! No face paint, no wig, no spandex… winner,” he tweeted.

Julianne’s brother, Derek dressed up as a Jedi with a lightsaber in hand.

We’re not quite not sure what Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was supposed to be, other than a geeky supermodel, that is.

During his marriage to Heidi Klum, Seal and the supermodel’s Halloween costumes became legendary. Sans Klum, Seal seems to lack inspiration and turned up to the Seacrest/ Hough bash dressed as a basketball player, which kind of fell flat…but he did score a date!

The best-dressed at the party undoubtably was Maria Menounos who put a real scare into fellow partygoers with a slit on her face that appeared to be bleeding and torn up clothes for her incarnation as a zombie.

The television presenter certainly pulled out all the stops and shared the photos of her ghoulish turn online, which we sure was a treat.

Charlie Sheen on American Idol: “I’m genuinely interested”

By Evan Hosie

Charlie Sheen is at it again, this time promoting himself through his new show, “Anger Management,” on the Ryan Seacrest KISS-FM morning show. But is it true he’s considering being a judge on A.I.?

Sheen:  “It kind of came out of nowhere and I responded with a quote just to sort of check the temperature of it or test the waters, haven’t heard anything back. I guess it got some people curious.” It seems so out of the blue that it almost made perfect sense. I thought this could be a lot of fun. Seriously…I’m genuinely interested. It’s so different, it could be radical.”

 On Leaving Twitter:

“There was something about it that never felt right and it’s hard to tell 8 million people: ‘Hey, don’t take it personally.’ It just never felt like it represented who I am and who my fans have come to know me to be. I’ve always been a really private guy and then to be reporting every 14 minutes about what kind of dressing you had on your salad?! There’s enough information out there as it is, for me to keep fueling that…I don’t know. I just lost a passion for it, I guess that’s what it was.”On Being Back On TV:

“It’s exciting! It’s not just coming back on, but to come back on with something that I’m really proud of. It’s really exciting to see the response and to see how people are really tuning into this thing and just not being let down. It’s a readjustment, because I left a show they were quite fond of and got very familiar with these characters and these stories and then one day it just got shut off, but I’m excited to bring something back. It’s so different, you can’t even compare the two.”

So, is Charlie having fun on the new set? :

“I am. It was the first time in a while that I was excited to get to work and then sad to leave. There’s an environment there that welcomes all types of input, myself included. I don’t feel like just a hired gun or a puppet. Everybody there is striving for the same goal, which is really exciting.”

When she’s not shopping or testing beauty products, Evan Hosie writes gadget reviews for the site Popgadget.net.
