LeAnn Rimes is hurting!
She may be rich, have a great career and a hunky husband, but as she reveals in a new interview with Katie Couric, she still has a lot of inner turmoil.
“People look at you and go, ’Why are you struggling?’ No one can quite understand why you hurt so badly,” the star explains to Couric, in what is her first TV interview since entering rehab just one day after her 30th birthday in August.
Judging from the teaser posted online, some of the pain stems from being thrust into the spotlight at such a young age that she wasn’t able to forge her own identity away from the stage.
But she is thankful that she is getting a chance to “start again”.
“I feel like I am starting over even though I’ve had all these years behind me,” Rimes tells Couric.
“How many people get to [start] over again in this day and age?”
The country singer, who voluntarily checked into rehab for anxiety and stress, is also expected to address those incessant rumors surrounding her weight loss and reports that she checked into rehab to battle an eating disorder.
