The Curious Case of Boo: The world’s cutest dog - Yes, he is captivating and cute, but could his 4.9 million Facebook fans be the result of his owner working for the social media empire that has made him a star?

There’s nothing not to proclaim j’adore upon seeing Boo the dog. Lovable from every camera angle, there’s a reason why nearly 5 million people have fallen in love with him and  propelled him into a pin-up of social media culture.

But, perhaps, could his 4.9 million Facebook fans (and counting) be the result of his owner actually working for the social networking empire?

After shielding behind a fake name, the real owner of Boo has now been identified as Irene Ahn.

And, interestingly enough, she is a senior executive in Facebook’s finance department and she has  taken great steps to ensure she was not identified as the dog’s owner.

She has always adopted the pseudonym J.H. Lee as she supposedly wanted to keep attention focused on her dog.

And she certainly has done just that if only by keeping the profits and margins in mind…

Boo has his first book out – ‘Boo: The Adventures of the Cutest Dog in the World’ which has been translated into 10 languages.

A second book called ‘Boo: Little Dog In The Big City’ is in the pipeline and there are also plans for a Boo-themed calendar.

On top of that Boo has a line of stuffed animals coming out and an A-B-C book for children.

There’s no doubt about it– Boo is golden in more ways than one….
