She maintains that she wants the world to see how she really is and would be aghast if she was perceived as being artificial.
And just days before she was publicly caught cheating on her boyfriend of three years, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart delved into this subject further.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at San Diego’s Comic-Con in last month she said never wants to be seen as fake.
“I don’t like people like that,” she explained. “People who are a complete non-person but somehow through the lens seem like they are on and interesting and engaged. … I don’t want anyone leaving and saying, ‘God, that girl is so fake.’ ”
She added: “People tell me to make it easier on myself and to play a character when I go out on carpets and stuff. But you know what? I’d rather be me.”
And that “me” in question is said to be so “ashamed” to show her face following her antics with director Rupert Sanders that she has pulled of her On The Road premiere in London next Thursday.
She has also reportedly dropped out of her latest film Cali.
