The touching moment autistic girl performs with her idol Katy Perry

Katy Perry is one of the world’s biggest pop stars, but her greatest performance has come from a duet with an autistic girl.

During a “Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs”, Perry and Jodi DiPiazza performed a duet of “Firework” which received a standing ovation at the Beacon Theater in New York

Afterwards, Perry took to Twitter and wrote of the experience.

“I will  never forget last  night. It was the most important moment thus far of  what I do,” she said. Later posting: “Jodi is my  firework.”

Jodi, 11, was diagnosed with autism at age 2.

“Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs” is hosted by Jon Stewart and raises money for autism programs, schools, and services all over the country.

It features a host of stars and airs Sunday, October 21 at 8/7c on Comedy Central.
