Today is a monumental day for President Barack Obama in more ways than one.
As he prepares to enter into his first debate with Mitt Romney for the 2012 presidential election tonight, today also marks his 20th anniversary of his wedding to Michelle.
And despite the distractions that a re-election campaign brings, Barack didn’t forget to share with the world just how much he values Michelle and their marriage.
“Twenty years ago today, I married the love of my life and my best friend. Happy anniversary, ” Michelle, ” he wrote on Twitter.
To which Michelle replied: “Happy 20th anniversary, Barack. Thank you for being an incredible partner, friend, and father every day. I love you!”
Michelle shared this photo from their wedding on social media site Pinterest.
And the couple shared this video with their Twitter followers, which gives an inside track on what makes their relationship work.
Whatever your political state of mind, there is no doubting that this a powerhouse couple.
