Today’s photo will melt your heart: Ailing WWII makes sure HIS vote counts

Why is this photo so emotive and so important? The answer is clear: This 93-year-old World War II veteran made sure he posted his absentee ballot in Honolulu on Oct.17.

At 93, Frank Tanabe is likely never to weigh in again in a political election.

Even though he is suffering from an inoperable tumor, from bed at home, his  daughter Barbara Tanabe helped him fill out his absentee ballot.

He was determined to vote regardless, eagerly asking when the ballot would  be arriving in the mail, his daughter said. She kept telling him, “don’t worry,  it’s coming.” He filled it out immediately when it landed in the mailbox  Wednesday.’

And it’s importance is multiplied when there are a staggering 90 million Americans who could vote, who won’t.

We have already crafted this photo below to encourage all of you to voice your vote!
