The temperatures were scorching, and the stars who turned out for the Solstice Sunglasses & Safilo Group’s “Celebrate Summer Solstice” event launching the new Carrera 6000 collection, were just as hot.
Here’s a recap from yesterday’s event in New York, where Adrian Grenier tried to pick up a blond and talked about the movie version of Entourage; Erin Heatherton arrived sans Leonardo Dicaprio; and Miss USA revealed she’s looking for a man.
Solange Knowles
Solange Knowles told a friend about a strange dream about a child at the Carrera 6000 Launch & Solstice Sunglasses “Celebrate Summer Solstice” event in New York City. But not any child, Sasha Obama was in it! She said it lasted forever. As the sun heated the Meatpacking streets, Solange slipped on a pair of Carrera 6000 and DJ:ed for the hot crowd. She saw a guest bouncing around in a state of pure happiness to the beats and jokingly said, “I want to feel like her right now!”
Erin Heatherton
Looks like Erin Heatherton is still head over heels with her love Leonardo Dicaprio, as she was asked to take a photo with Adrian Grenier and politely declined. Respectable lady! Instead she chatted with friends about best rooftop bars in the city. Maybe she’ll take Leo to one of them?
Adrian Grenier
Adrian Grenier seems to have no problem getting the attention of “all” the single ladies (in New York) as he was overheard telling a friend that the city is very generous and he gets love every day. That didn’t stop him from asking a blond girl out to Brooklyn, where he currently lives alone. He chose Brooklyn for its relaxing vibe, and said that the Manhattan scene is way too intense for his taste. Where to next? The Entourage actor is thinking of trying Miami, he apparently doesn’t mind the heat.
Adrian also spilled the beans on the movie version of Entourage, and said it’s looking good. He mentioned that he had just ran into the Director the other day. In the meantime, he is working on his new website and other movie projects. He even channeled his inner character Vince as he answered his phone “M” (not an “E”) to discuss an upcoming film opportunity.
Miss USA
It’s been such a whirlwind for Olivia Culpo ever since she was crowned Miss USA – she was telling a friend that she has been all over the place for the past days. Where would she like to go next? She said that she would love to visit the Hamptons for some sun. She was also overheard saying that she is “single and ready to mingle,” the 20 year-old is looking for a nerdy hot man. Lots of changes happening… she even wants to cut her hair short! Let’s see what happens next with this beauty queen…
