Did Katie serve Tom his divorce papers in a birthday card?
A reader suggested this may have occurred and we spoke to several sources who said that it wouldn’t be unfathomable given how nasty this battle between the former “besotted” pair is turning out to be.
“It’s all out war now between them, ” says one source in their inner circle. “Katie is going for the jugular, and Tom is not going down without a fight.”
Btw, Cruise turns 50 tomorrow (Tuesday)… perhaps this mess is not the best way to celebrate such a milestone.

Katie’s next starring role after life as Mrs. Cruise?
Is Holmes in the running to star on the big screen version of 50 Shades Of Grey? Perhaps… she’s gone and hired herself a new publicist, and today, with a new polished look, she stepped out in public for her appearance post-split to film the Lifetime reality fashion competition “Project Runway: All Stars”. There’s no doubt that she is eyeing a Hollywood comeback. Whether she gets the much coveted role is another question altogether.

Is Katie’s life in danger?
The New York Post reported that authorities were summoned to Katie Holmes’ apartment building in Chelsea, New York on Friday after the actress reportedly told a neighbor she’s worried she’s being stalked.
The incident happened on the same day that news broke that Holmes had filed for divorce from Tom Cruise after five years of marriage and was seeking primary custody of their 6-year-old daughter Suri.
Sources told the Post one of Holmes’ neighbors called the police; since the actress didn’t file a complaint herself, police did not take any action.
This came on the back of reports over the weekend that there were two cars stationed outside her new apartment which could be Scientologists watching her (scary).
As it turns out, the “church” of Scientology insists they’re not stalking her, and the cars watching her are most likely her new security (she fired Tom’s- out with the old, in with the new) or paps/reporters eager for a ’scoop”.

Was Scientology a hot-button and a press-and-destroy button in the Holmes/Cruise marriage?
Almost every outlet is claiming that one major factor in Holmes filing for divorce is Cruise’s obsession with Scientology and that he wanted their daughter Suri to go to away to Sea Organisation – where the highest levels of Scientology are taught and children as young as five can be sent to live there – without their parents.
Scientology was always going to be an issue, but last time we checked, this wasn’t a remake of Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut. Holmes entered into this marriage with her Eyes Wide Open: She knew what she was getting into and willingly became a participant.

The marriage was simply a five-year contract
Most twitter users believe this to be case and the timing of the divorce (just shy of the six-year mark) did little to dispel these conspiracy theories.
Ask any of your friends, and most of them will lament that the contract must have ended, thus the reason for the split.
Oh, and items like this just pour more fuel onto the already scorching fire.

Is this story going to go away anytime soon?
When Rupert Murdoch is even weighing in on the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes split, you know this story is going to have a lot of legs.
The media mogul yesterday tweeted: ”Scientology back in news. Very weird cult, but big, big money involved with Tom Cruise either number two or three in [hierarchy].”
When he was attacked for his comments, the 81-year-old stood his ground, adding: “Since Scientology tweet hundreds of attacks. Expect they will increase and get worse and maybe threatening. Still stick to my story.”
We have numerous, numerous questions, as we are sure you do, but we await with bated breath to see if Cruise will stick to the story he’s been churning out for the past five years.
