On the night of July 27, 2012, thousands of pedestrians walking the streets of Times Squares clamored to take photos of Hollywood’s next ”big star”. Little did they know, however, that it was all a social experiment to make a statement about modern culture and its obsession with celebrities.

Here is Brett Cohen’s tale of how he duped people into believing they were in the presence of a star with the help of an entourage which included bodyguards, a camera crew and fake paparazzi.
