New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg had a lot to chew on when he hosted the official weigh-in on Tuesday for New York’s annual July Fourth hot dog eating contest.
And it seems it was more than he could stomach.
Widely known for being uptight, Bloomberg showcased his sense of humor when he delivered an impressive 12 hot dog puns, before asking “Who wrote this sh-t?”
Among the puns were ”let me be frank” and “this is one of favorite traditions. I relish it so much”
The Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest has been a city tradition for 97 years and is viewed by millions on TV screens across the country.
