The VS show can leave us normal folk feeling very overwhelmed
Jooody is back and weighs in (literally) on last night’s VS extravaganza.
She writes…
If you did a cellulite check during the hour long infomercial, I mean, um err, fashion show, then you were probably not alone in the 10.3 million audience that watched the annual lingerie extravaganza. I have watched the show since the first airing on CBS, so yes I am a fan of the sexy eye candy, music and party vibe combination.
Favorite Outfit: Adriana Lima’s Super Angel mix of orange thigh highs and gloves with a popping blue cape. I want to rock this color combo in real life but with more clothes otherwise HR will email me…again.
WTH Outfit: Klarie Kloss’s Disco Butt Bubble. The electric lit angel wings were a cool idea but the awkward shape of the disco was just unflattering.
Most Annoying: The constant big mouth smiles and winking. Enough. Already.
Most Overhyped of the Overhyped: The VS commericals showing Adam Levine kissing girlfriend Anne Vyalitsina on the runway. How many times did they really need to preview it then talk about it afterwards?
Favorite Performer: Nicki Minaj. Wouldn’t it be awesome if she jumped up and kissed one of the model’s cheeks, too?
Side Note: Didn’t it seem the models look overall about seven pounds thinner this year than previous years? The body standard du jour appear to be boyish straight up/down with bony hips and tiny butt. I hope they bring back some curves next year.
