We actually applauded Jon Hamm’s recent comments about the dumbing down of culture. But one person wasn’t too happy about it: Kim Kardashian.
In the April issue of Elle UK magazine the Mad Men star said: ”Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.
Not only did he say that the success of reality TV stars didn’t make any sense to him, but he went on to add: “Being a f***ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.”
Kim took to twitter (naturally) yesterday to hit back at his comments, saying that “not everyone takes the same path in life.”
“We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another,” she wrote. “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.”
